This was my first congress, and I kept hearing from experienced comrades that this was the best congress so far. Apparently this is something that is said at every congress, which is incredible. It shows how much the party is constantly growing. I am very happy I was able to come to congress; for me it really solidified the need for a democratically-run party, and going to congress with other comrades in a carpool, sharing a dorm room with comrades really builds camaraderie. My favourite part was hearing about other cells and how they implemented new tactics in their work, for example how they handle growth and education. It was very inspiring and helped me put into words what is missing in my branch as well. At some point I was so overwhelmed with emotions and hope for the future I was nearly brought to tears. I really believe we are building an incredible foundation to grow. The RCP will be ready when the masses finally rise up against the ruling class, and we can liberate humanity once and for all. I am so grateful for all my comrades.
