On June 13, Victoria comrades set out to meet the young students and workers at FernFest, a community-funded event. We set up multiple tables across the venue to ensure that everyone knew that the communists were here!
There was no shortage of enthusiasm. Many of the best people we found were not yet communists, but recognized that capitalism, along with its billionaires and now trillionaires, must be overthrown.
We spoke with hundreds of young people. One comment summed up the mood perfectly:
“It feels like everyone is a communist today. Who isn’t?”
Another enthusiastic worker walked by and yelled, “If they aren’t a communist now, they will be!”
