My experience at Montreal Marxist school was even better than I was hoping. There is something so special about having these in-person events that it is hard to put it into words. Beyond the incredible sense of camaraderie in the air, the leadoffs were inspiringly passionate. During my favorite leadoff of the weekend, the one on dialectics, I was introduced to a quote that really resonated with me, “Contradiction is the source of all development” (Hegel). This leadoff was an amazing way to help me get past some of the holes in my understanding, and I have been left with an even greater hunger to study the core ideas of Marxism. I am more excited than ever before to help grow the RCI into what I know it can be!
