My supervisor didn’t want to work everyday – the bosses fired him

When he asked to stop working such inhumane hours, the CEO fired him on the spot.

In early June, my department head suddenly left the company. There was no explanation, and the other managers tried to dodge the subject during a meeting with the employees.

Through the grapevine, I learned that my supervisor had been working seven days a week since the beginning of the year and that, when he asked to stop working such inhumane hours, the CEO fired him on the spot. He was told “he no longer met the requirements”, even though a three-strike warning process was supposed to be followed.

I liked my supervisor. He’s definitely one of the most humane bosses I’ve ever worked with. But the bigwigs still treated him without a scrap of decency. So I say: we should not hold back, and treat them with just the same amount of consideration.
