In November 2024, I was no longer able to read or participate in my regular party activities. I needed a break and a rest, distressed by life under capitalism. Then, in February 2025, I attended the Montreal Marxist Winter School. And, like every time I find myself immersed in revolutionary ideas, I got my motivation back.
I started reading again. I joined a reading group, which was discussing Reason in Revolt, an incredible book that tackles the Marxist philosophy of dialectical materialism as a science. I participated in a protest for the liberation of Palestine, and was inspired to be surrounded by comrades who defend a revolutionary program.
Since then, I’ve met these comrades every week at our cell meeting, where we discuss important theoretical questions and plan our activity in the class struggle. Every week, we work actively to build the Revolutionary Communist Party, to find other communists like us who want to put an end once and for all to this system that’s dragging us down. And we share a revolutionary optimism, because we know this is possible.
