On Jan. 6 Scotiabank CEO Scott Thomson spoke at a conference of bankers:
“You’re moving all these governments from left to right, or centre-right, and then you’re seeing more U.S. influence, which plays very well to our Western Hemisphere strategy. There should be or could be some bumps along the way here… but longer-term, this is a good thing for the Western Hemisphere, it’s a good thing for the U.S., it’s a good thing for the Bank of Nova Scotia.”
Big business in Canada has no problem with Trump digging his boot into Latin America… as long as they get their cut.
