Be prepared for a positive response!

Overall the reception for a student strike for Palestine was very positive. Most of the people we met weren’t students but younger workers who were looking for something more to do other than go to protests. Honestly we were a bit unprepared for the response we got. People asked for a petition to sign, flier to take, or events that we didn’t have, so we need those ASAP! I’m setting up a meeting with a few of the people that I met to get them involved right away and not wait for our posterings coming up. We also made four sales of Communist Revolution. One person I met was a young Lebanese woman who spoke to me very passionately about the economic roots of the war in Gaza and how it’s connected to the issues here; she was definitely expressing communist ideas, but she doesn’t consider herself a communist. That is the type of person we can reach through the campaign!
